TODAY’S THERAPY PUPPY TOMORROWS THERAPY DOG

We are proud to be the Only Registered Therapy Dogs in Australia, and we are dedicated to bringing the healing power of therapy dogs & puppies to various settings across the country. Our therapy puppies undergo rigorous training and, upon reaching 18 months of age and passing their certification tests, they transition into certified therapy dogs.

Our therapy dogs have had the privilege of offering their therapeutic presence in diverse locations, including renowned places such as Charlestown Square Shopping Centre and Forster Stocklands. Annually, we are honored to be invited to Rydges Resort Hunter Valley and Kirkton Hotel Hunter Valley for R U OK DAY, where we provide therapy sessions for both staff and patrons.

In addition to these establishments, we regularly visit aged care facilities, schools, and educational institutions, including St. Clare’s Catholic College and Alesco Senior College Special Assistance School. The positive impact of our therapy puppies on individuals in these environments is palpable and truly heartening.

The benefits of therapy puppies, as they grow and mature into therapy dogs, are manifold. They offer comfort, emotional support, and a calming presence to individuals of all ages. Their gentle demeanor and unconditional love have been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and loneliness, while also fostering a sense of connection and well-being.

If you are considering the introduction of a therapy dog into your organization, facility, or educational institution, please do not hesitate to reach out to us today. Our experienced therapy dogs and puppies are ready to make a positive impact on the lives of those they interact with, providing a unique and invaluable source of comfort and emotional support.

A first generation Cavoodle is a cross from a Purebred Cavalier King Charles Mother and Purebred Toy Poodle Father, this first cross giving us best DNA results in our puppies. We also breed Purebred Cavalier King Charles & purebred Toy Poodles, which is the necessary breeds to get first generation Cavoodles.

Our pets and puppies live & play in beautiful open green areas and exceptional indoor facilities. Our pets are nurtured within our loving family environment all day every day. When our pups are 4 weeks in age they are taken to our one of a kind Therapy Dog Park, where they learn lots of new skills and enjoy their playtime with their siblings and mum.

We are sponsored by royal canin & feed all our pets and puppies Royal Canin.

As an avid supporter of animal-assisted therapy and its positive impact on individuals, I like to express my heartfelt endorsement for the invaluable role therapy dogs play in improving the well-being of people across various settings. The symbiotic relationship between humans and therapy dogs has demonstrated remarkable benefits, making these four-legged companions an invaluable asset to our society. I would like to share my thoughts on why therapy dogs are undeniably good for people.

1. Emotional Support: Therapy dogs have an uncanny ability to provide unconditional love and companionship, offering comfort and emotional support to individuals facing challenging circumstances. Whether it’s patients in hospitals, elderly residents in nursing homes, or individuals coping with mental health issues, therapy dogs can significantly reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression.

2. Stress Reduction: Numerous studies have shown that interacting with therapy dogs can lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress. The simple act of petting a therapy dog can trigger a relaxation response, easing tension and promoting a sense of calmness in both adults and children.

3. Improved Mental Health: Therapy dogs play a crucial role in enhancing mental health outcomes. Regular visits from therapy dogs have been linked to reduced symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), improved mood, increased self-esteem, and a more positive outlook on life.

4. Enhanced Socialization: For individuals with social anxiety or those struggling with communication skills, therapy dogs act as a bridge, facilitating social interactions and encouraging meaningful connections with others. This can be particularly beneficial for children with autism spectrum disorder or individuals who find it challenging to engage with their peers.

5. Cognitive Benefits: Therapy dogs can stimulate cognitive functions in various ways. Engaging in activities with therapy dogs, such as teaching them tricks or practicing obedience exercises, can help improve memory, problem-solving skills, and concentration.

6. Physical Health Benefits: Beyond their emotional support, therapy dogs have also been proven to have physical health benefits. Petting and interacting with dogs can lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, and improve cardiovascular health, leading to a healthier lifestyle overall.

7. Distraction from Pain: In medical settings, therapy dogs have shown to be effective in distracting patients from pain and discomfort during procedures or treatments, leading to reduced reliance on pain medications.

8. Encouragement for Physical Activity: Therapy dogs often inspire people to be more physically active. Whether it’s taking the dog for a walk or playing fetch, these activities encourage individuals to be more engaged and lead a more active lifestyle.

In conclusion, therapy dogs are not only good for people but also vital in promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being. Their loving presence and non-judgmental demeanor can make a significant difference in the lives of those they interact with, fostering a positive environment for healing and growth.

I wholeheartedly support mission and the dedication of therapy dogs making a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals through therapy dogs programs.

Helen and her team at diva pets could not have been nicer to interact with, and all of her doggies are so calm and playful that I could sit there all day with them. I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for the next member of your family!

I have loved dealing with Helen from Diva Pets. So accommodating, especially as I am inexperienced and a little needy of help! Her puppies and parents are so very well cared for and she is genuinely willing to help, which is just lovely. We can’t wait to meet our little Lord Edgar.

We adopted our beautiful Cavoodle from Helen at Diva Pets after looking at many breeders and we are so glad we did! She was so lovely throughout the process, very prompt and clear communication. Once our puppy was born we got regular photos and videos so we felt like we were there with him. We got to come up and meet him when he was a few weeks old and Helen was so warm and welcoming to our family! Once we took our puppy home she has continued to provide excellent support and advice for any questions we have. She is so caring and passionate about high quality breeding. We love our dog and he is so well behaved and fits into our family perfectly.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Diva Pets with the purchase of three healthy puppies. Helen has always taken the time to share updates and photos of the puppies as they grow. Puppies are socialised and toilet trained. Helen is always so responsive and takes the time with new fur parents sharing with then her knowledge and putting new puppy parents at ease. I have 3 beautiful, healthy, happy puppies and will always be thankful to Helen for everything she has done in ensuring we had a hassle free and great experience. Helen breeds her puppies with such love and dedication ❤️
